BIOGRAPHY

There will be those who find “Continente 27” not very flamenco for a genuine Andalusian, there will be those who will take it as not very jazzy for a boy who allowed himself the audacity to pay homage to the American Dave Grusin with the title of his first LP, Gruserías (2019). And in that apparent indefinition lies the grace, the uniqueness. Genius in first person.

“Continente 27” is the very plausible consecration of Pérez as one of the figures of the new flamenco jazz. "He is the great sensation at the piano, the heir to the thrones of Dorantes and Chano Domínguez."

Fernando Neira - El País
